Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

Parma Heights is in Ohio, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Parma Heights follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. I had a great experience with everybody here. I called in to place an order for an 8AM pickup 2 days out, and it was fresh and ready when pickup time came! The staff is very friendly, the interior of the bakery shows off the beauty of Magyarország and its culture. Everybody at my job loved the strudels! I can’t thank them enough. Can’t wait to come back. Köszi 😊

Loved the apple and blueberry strudel. The service was excellent, and they truly cared about food allergies.

Absolute staple of Cleveland and such an amazing representation of Hungarian culture and tradition. The people who worked and operated this bakery are lovely, and will take the time to have a conversation while they serve you the best strudel you’ve ever had. I honestly did not think strudel could be this good… the flakey layers really got me and show how great strudel that is hand made by people who perfected their craft can taste. I ordered the apple and cherry+cheese. Both amazing, but the Apple is a 100% must order for your first time.

My Mom recommended Lydia’s for their strudel and said it’s the best in the area, she was right! We also tried a variety of the butter horns and they were all delicious. I haven’t had a poppyseed pastry in over 20 years and it brought back so many wonderful memories. Thank you Lydia’s for making us feel so welcome in your bakery from the moment we walked in and for the delicious baked goods that awaken such fond family memories too!
